IIT Kharagpur has released the information brochure for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – 2022. According to the brochure released, the application process for the Aptitude Test will start from August 30. The application process will continue till September 24. At the same time, the last date to apply with late fee has been fixed as October 01. Interested candidates can download the brochure through the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

Exam will be held in two shifts

As per the schedule released for the exam, GATE- 2022 will be conducted in two shifts daily on February 5, 6, 12 and 13, 2022. Under this, the first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. It will be completely Computer Based Test (CBT).

Two new subjects will be included in the exam

IIT Kharagpur, the organization conducting GATE- 2022, informed that this time two new papers have been added to the exam. This includes JE (Geomatics Engineering) and NM (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering). Apart from this, the total number of questions has also been increased this time. Earlier, a total of 27 questions were asked in the exam, but now after the arrival of two new papers, the number of these questions has been increased to 29.

Examination will be held at 195 examination centers

IIT Kharagpur will soon release the online application form for GATE 2022. This 180 minutes exam will be conducted in computer based mode. A total of 195 exam centers have been set up for the exam. Candidates willing to appear in the examination can visit the official website of the institute iitkgp.ac.in. Apart from this, candidates can also get information through GATE 20202 website gate.iitd.ac.in.
