Shanghai Ranking Consultancy released the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2021. According to the released ranking list, IISC Bangalore has become the best university in the country. At the same time, Calcutta University has been ranked second in the country. The ARWU Ranking, released by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, is one of the premier and globally recognized rankings of Higher Educational Institutes.
1 thousand universities are reviewed every year
Under ARWU, about 1,000 universities and educational institutions around the world are reviewed every year. Talking about India, this time Banaras Hindu University has got the third place. At the same time, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi stood at the fourth position.
IIT Kharagpur is at number five, while IIT Madras stood at sixth and Jawaharlal Nehru University at number seven. This year Delhi University got the eighth position. At the same time, All India Institute of Medical Sciences ranked 9th and Vellore Institute of Technology ranked 10th in the country.
Harvard University No. 1 in the world
Talking about the world's top 3 universities, this year Harvard University has been ranked as the best university in the world in the university rankings. It was followed by Stanford and Cambridge University in second and third place respectively. Eight universities in the top 10 list are from the US, while two are from the UK.
