The result of NEET 2021 conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to medical courses has been declared. NTA had released the result of this exam on 1st November. NTA has also released the final answer key along with the result. Now the counseling will be conducted soon for the candidates who are successful in this examination and the candidates will be able to participate in the counseling with their scorecard. About 7000 MBBS seats in UP
There are currently more than 7000 MBBS seats in the medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh. On the basis of NEET 2021 result, about 7528 MBBS seats will be admitted in Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, it is also expected that 700 seats of 7 new medical colleges opened in the state can also be admitted from this year itself. If this happens, there will be a further increase in MBBS seats in the state. Of the total MBBS seats in the state, 15% seats are filled from the All India Rank. Whereas, 85% seats are allotted by state rank.

Decline in cut off
This time the NEET cut off for the candidates belonging to the unreserved category was less as compared to 2020. Last year where the cut off of NEET was from 720 to 147 marks. On the other hand, this year the cutoff for the candidates belonging to the unreserved category ranged from a maximum of 720 to a minimum of 138. While the NEET cutoff for OBC, SC and ST category candidates this time has come down to 137-108 as against 146-113 in 2020. The cutoff for NEET UG 2021 in the general category is 50th percentile. Whereas for OBC, SC and ST it is 40th percentile.
