The Supreme Court has directed all the schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to release the detailed information of class 10th-12th results as decided by the results committee. Through this, students will be able to decide whether they should appear in the Improvement Exam to be held in August or not.
Result prepared under moderation policy
A bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar and Justice Sanjiv Khanna gave this direction on a petition by Association of Private Schools of Uttar Pradesh. During the hearing, Advocate Ravi Prakash Gupta, appearing for the petitioner, said that due to the moderation policy, the marks of many students have decreased. Under this policy, the result has been decided on the basis of highest average marks of three years examination. In such a situation, it is necessary to tell the students how their marks have been reduced on the basis of this policy.
CBSE's improvement exam will be held from August 25
After the direction of the court, the board has agreed to this and directed all the affiliated schools to share the detailed information of the results of all the students as decided by the results committee with the students. Earlier, the board had told the court that it would conduct the improvement examination from August 25. At the same time, the result will be released by 30 September. Whereas, CISCE will conduct class 10th and 12th examinations from August 16 and will declare the result around September 20.
