The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) has released the class 12th result on Sunday. The students who appeared in the examination can check their results through the official website of the board, cgbse.nic.in. Chhattisgarh Board is one of the few selected boards, which conducted the 12th examination without canceling the examination despite the corona epidemic. State Education Minister Premsai Singh Tekam released the 12th result through video conferencing at 12 noon.

97.43 percent pass percentage
A total of 97.43 per cent students have passed the class 12th examination this year. A total of 2.71 lakh students appeared in the examination. This time the exam was conducted in open book mode due to Corona pandemic. So the board has decided not to release the merit list this time.
The examination was held between 1 to 5 June
For the first time due to Corona, the state board had allowed the 12th students to take the examination from their respective homes. These examinations were conducted from June 1 to June 5. Students question paper and answer sheet copies were made available, which were asked to be sent within five days. Earlier, the board had declared the 10th result, out of which 95.66 percent children had secured first division.

Last year 78.59 percent students passed
Last year, a total of 78.59 percent students passed in the 12th class of the state board. In this, the pass percentage of girls was 82.02 percent, while the pass percentage of boys was 74.40 percent. The result of the year 2020 was the best in the last 5 years. Earlier in the year 2019, 78.43 per cent students had cleared the class 12th board exams.
