The last date for admission to eligible children for free admission in private schools under the Right to Education Act (RTE) has been extended by two days. Now eligible children will be able to enroll their names till July 28. Earlier, the time of admission was fixed till July 26. State Education Center Director Dhanaraju S said, keeping in view the adverse weather conditions and the interest of the eligible children, the last date for taking admission has been extended.

Instructions have been issued to all the district project coordinators of the state, after allotment, the concerned child will be able to appear for free admission in the school. Also, through the mobile app by the private school, take the child's photo and register for free admission.

Along with this, if the operation of the school has been stopped by the private school at present or any child has been allotted in the minority school. The information of such schools should be made available to the State Education Center by 5 pm on July 27, 2021. With this, such children can be given a chance to choose another school in the second phase of the lottery process.

In this, the school was allotted through online lottery in the session 2021-22 for free admission to the children of weaker sections and disadvantaged groups in private schools.
