Four EVM machines will be kept at every booth in Bihar Panchayat elections

Preparations for Panchayat elections in Bihar have reached the final stage. The State Election Commission is issuing guidelines for conducting elections in the panchayats of all districts including Patna, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Jehanabad, Arwal, Purnia, Samastipur, Darbhanga of Bihar.

According to the instructions issued by the commission, in the Bihar Panchayat elections this year, there will be two ballot boxes along with four EVM machines at every booth. At the same time, instead of four, six officers will be posted at the polling stations. The commission is busy preparing for this.

Let us tell you that in the Bihar Panchayat elections, the election of the post of Zilla Parishad member, head of Gram Panchayat Raj, member of Panchayat Samiti and ward member will be done through EVM machine. Whereas the election of Panch and Sarpanch will be done by ballot paper.

According to the State Election Commission, in this year's Bihar Panchayat elections, a polling party will have five polling officers including a presiding officer. Along with this, Sector Magistrate will also be posted at each booth. Orders have been issued in this regard.
