The country is celebrating its 75th Independence Day today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on this occasion. During this, PM made a big announcement for the daughters of the country and informed that now girls will also be able to take admission in all the Sainik Schools of the country. The PM said that I used to get messages from lakhs of daughters that they want to study in Sainik School. Two and a half years ago, the experiment of admitting daughters in the Sainik School of Mizoram was done. Now it has been decided that all the Sainik Schools of the country will be opened for the daughters of the country as well.
NEP will meet the needs of 21st century India
Talking about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the PM said that this policy will meet the needs of 21st century India. NEP lays emphasis on imparting education in the regional language. With the help of this, the children of the poor will be able to study in their mother tongue, which will do justice to their abilities. NEP 2020 is a tool to fight against poverty. One of its main features is that it does not treat sports education as extra-curricular but makes it a part of mainstream education.
