IIT Madras Online Courses: Apply for Programming and Data Science Program by August 30, Admission will be available without JEE score

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras has invited online applications for the data science program which started in the year 2020. The special thing is that for admission in the institute, candidates will not need JEE score. Candidates will be able to take admission in this program on the basis of 12th marks.

Candidates of any age can apply

Candidates can do this course in online mode from any place. Also, no age limit has been fixed for this. It can be done by the candidates of any age. Also, college students can pursue this program along with their already ongoing on-campus courses. IIT Madras has become the first institute in the world to introduce BSc degree and diploma courses in Programming and Data Science.

who can apply

Candidates taking admission in this online Programming and Data Science degree or diploma course of IIT Madras must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board on or before the year 2019 or earlier. Along with this, Maths and English should be as one of the subjects in 10th class. There is no age limit for these courses and candidates can apply from anywhere.

The online registration process for Online Programming and Data Science degree or diploma courses has started. Interested candidates can fill the application form through the institute's online degree portal, onlinedegree.iitm.ac.in. The last date of application has been fixed as August 30.

Selection Process

Applying candidates will have to attend a qualifier process. Under this, candidates will be given four weeks of online training through video lectures, assignments and live interactions with course instructors. On completion of the online assignment, the candidate will have to appear in the qualifier exam. The candidates who clear this exam will be given admission at the foundation level. The classes for these courses will be started from September 2021.
