The April session of Engineering Entrance Exam JEE Main has started from today. This third phase exam will be held on July 22, 25 and 27. Earlier the entrance exam was proposed from July 20 to 25, however, later its schedule was changed. The exam is being conducted in two shifts. Under this, the first shift has started at 9 am, which will continue till 12 noon.

7.09 lakh candidates have registered

The candidates who appeared in the examination can download the admit card through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Around 7.09 lakh candidates have registered for the third phase examination. This exam is being conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set up 828 examination centers in 334 cities of the country for the examination.

NTA issued guidelines for the candidates

The agency has also issued guidelines for the candidates appearing in the examination. As per the guidelines issued, candidates should carry only one transparent water bottle, 50 ml personal hand sanitizer, one ball point pen, JEE Main 2021 admit card on A-4 size sheet, one passport size photograph, valid and original ID in the examination hall. Proofs can be taken. Candidates will also be provided with a three layer mask and sanitizer at the examination centre.

Exam will be of 3 hours

JEE Main exam will be of 3 hours. During this, candidates will have to answer a total of 75 questions out of 90 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Each question is of 4 marks. There will be negative marking of 1 mark only in MCQ question. Due to Corona, the agency had postponed the examinations for April and May. Which is now being organized in July-August.
