Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently informed that the students of Maharashtra affected by rain will be given one more chance for the session 3 of JEE Main. He said that in order to help the affected candidates due to heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been advised to give one more opportunity to such candidates who are not able to reach the examination centre.

Candidates who could not appear in the examination will get a chance

In this regard, the Union Education Minister shared a post on his social media account and said that the examination will be held again for the candidates of the rain-affected areas. NTA will conduct the re-examination for the candidates who could not appear for the July 25 and 27 exams due to rain and landslides.

However, the JEE Main re-exam dates have not been announced yet. Candidates from Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Sindhudurg, Sangli and Satara who could not appear for the exam due to heavy rains will be able to re-appear.

April session exam started from July 20

The examination of the third and fourth phases of JEE Main postponed due to Corona is being conducted in July-August. Under this, the April session examination is being conducted on July 20, 22, 25 and 27. Whereas, the May session exam will be held on 26, 27, 31 August and 1-2 September. 7,09,519 candidates have registered for the third phase of JEE Main.
