The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released a notification for recruitment of Medical Assistant (Group Y) under Airmen Selection 2024-25. Online applications for the posts are open from 22nd May 2024 to 05th June 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification:
- 12th Pass with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized Board with at least 50% marks.
- Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with at least 50% marks.
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must be born between 02nd January 2004 and 02nd January 2008 (both dates inclusive).
- Medical Standard:
- Height: Minimum 152 cm
- Chest: Minimum expansion of 5 cm
- Weight: Proportionate to height and age
- Hearing: Normal hearing in both ears with ability to hear whispers from a distance of 6 meters from each ear
- Teeth: Healthy gums and sound teeth with a minimum of 14 dental points
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
- 12th Pass candidates: 1.6 Km run in 7 minutes
- Diploma or B.Sc Pass candidates: 1.6 Km run in 7 minutes 30 seconds
- Additionally, 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 10 squats are required.
- Written Exam:
- The written exam will be conducted along with the PFT.
- The exam will be of 45 minutes duration.
- It will be objective type with each question carrying one mark.
- There will be 20 questions from English and 30 questions from Reasoning and General Awareness.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer will be applicable.
