PNB Reduces Daily ATM Withdrawal Limit

Mumbai, March 6: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced a significant reduction in the daily cash withdrawal limit for its debit card holders. Effective from April 1, 2026, the daily withdrawal limit for standard ATM cards will be halved from ₹1 lakh to ₹50,000. Premium debit cards will see a reduction from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹75,000.
This decision comes as part of PNB’s efforts to enhance risk control measures and improve customer security. The bank has categorized its debit cards into two main groups, with specific limits assigned to each category. Cards included in the ₹50,000 limit are RuPay NCMC Platinum, MasterCard Platinum, and Visa Gold debit cards, while premium cards such as RuPay Select and Visa Signature debit cards will fall under the ₹75,000 limit.
Founded on May 19, 1894, PNB is headquartered in New Delhi and is the second-largest public sector bank in India, following the State Bank of India, after the merger with Oriental Bank of Commerce and United Bank of India in 2020.
