The admission process in Delhi University is going on. According to official data, more than 48,000 students have got admission in Delhi University under the two cut-off lists, while the university has received more than 1.18 lakh applications so far.

Tomorrow the third cut off list will be released

The third cut-off list for UG admission will be released tomorrow i.e. on October 16. At the same time, a total of 1 lakh, 18 thousand 878 applications have been received by the university under two cut-offs, while 48 thousand 582 students have paid the fees. Significantly, out of 70 thousand undergraduate seats available in DU, more than half have been filled.

1 thousand 591 applications have been approved by the principal of the colleges. Dr Jaswinder Singh, Principal, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College said that out of 820, about 440 seats have been filled. "We have 10 students who have applied for the B.Com programme. There is a possibility of a one percent reduction in the cut-off in the third list," he said. The cut-off for B.Com program in the first list was pegged at 100%, but the course did not find any takers, so the cut-off in the second list has been reduced.

Hindu College likely to drop 1% in third cut-off

So far 1 thousand 858 students have secured their admission in Hindu College. Manish Kansal, admission coordinator of the college said, “The third cut-off list is likely to drop by up to 1% for courses. The unreserved seats for B.Com (Hons) have already been filled. The OBC seats are are also almost filled. There will be vacant seats in the reserve category and there may be a drop of 1% in the third list. A meeting will be held on Saturday to decide on the cut-off."
