On the occasion of completion of one year of National Education Policy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the students, teachers and policy makers in the field of education and skill development across the country on Thursday. Apart from this, PM Modi will also launch many schemes related to the education sector during this program.
Academic Bank of Credit will be launched
During his online program, Prime Minister Modi will also launch the Academic Bank of Credit. This bank will give many admission and exit options to the students in higher education. Along with this, guidelines for internationalization of first year engineering programs and higher education in regional languages will also be issued.
Initiatives of these schemes will be
PM Modi will launch a three-month drama based school preparation module Vidya Pravesh, Indian Sign Language as a subject at secondary level, NISHTHA 2.0, designed by NCERT, etc., for Grade 1 students today. In addition, an integrated program of teacher training – Safal, a competency based assessment structure for grades 3, 5 and 8 in CBSE schools and a website completely based on artificial intelligence, will also be launched.
National Education Technology Forum will be launched
In addition, the National Digital Education Framework and the National Education Technology Forum will also be launched during the event. All these initiatives are an important step towards achieving the goals of NEP 2020. This will help in making the field of education easier. NEP 2020 is meant as a guide to transform the learning landscape, make education holistic and build a strong foundation for an self-reliant India.
