Big news is coming for the people traveling by bus in Bihar. According to the latest report, the fare of all the buses in Bihar has increased. A copy of the notification in this regard has been uploaded on the website of the Transport Department.

According to the news, the Transport Department has increased the travel fare of long distance buses along with the city bus service. This will have a direct impact on the passengers traveling by bus. However, the department has sought objections and suggestions on the increased passenger fare for one month. Thereafter the new fare will be applicable.

Please tell that arbitrary fares are being charged from the passengers by the private bus owners. At the same time, now the fare of government bus is also being increased. It will affect the people of all the districts of the state including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Purnia.

How much did the rent increase?

One and a half rupees per kilometer for ordinary bus.

Rs 2 per kilometer for deluxe AC bus.

Rs 1.70 per kilometer for deluxe bus service.

2.50 per kilometer for Volvo and Mercedes buses.

For urban bus service, the travel fare has been increased by Rs 1.60 for the first four kilometers and by Rs 1.50 for every next two kilometers.
