
Kochi, March 31: The Indian Navy conducted a maritime exercise named IMEX TTX 2026 at its naval warfare center in Kochi on March 27. This exercise brought together naval officers and experts from several countries in the Indian Ocean region to discuss increasing security challenges at sea. Participating nations included Bangladesh, France, Indonesia, Kenya, Maldives, Mauritius, Myanmar, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, and Timor-Leste. India is set to chair the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium for 2026-2028, a significant opportunity that comes after 16 years. The primary aim of this exercise is to enhance coordination and information sharing among the participating navies.
