Mumbai, April 11: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 today, April 11. Candidates can access their main answer sheets on the official website. Previously, the question paper was made available on April 9. According to the official notification, the results are expected to be announced on April 20.
How to Download the Question Paper and Provisional Answer Key:
- Visit the official NTA JEE Mains website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the link for the question paper or answer key.
- Log in by entering the required information.
- Check and download the answer key and question paper.
On April 11, the provisional answer key and candidates’ main answer sheets for Paper 1 will be released. After this, candidates will have the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key within a specified timeframe. A fee of ₹200 will be charged for each question challenged, although the last date for submitting challenges has not yet been announced.
How to Challenge the Answer Key:
- Go to the official JEE Mains website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Log in using your application number and password.
- Click on the ‘Challenge Answer Key’ link.
- Select the question ID.
- Upload valid proof for the correct answer.
- Pay ₹200 for each question.
- Submit your response and save the receipt.
After the challenge window closes, NTA will release the final answer key for JEE Mains. Subsequently, the results and cut-off scores will be announced, including information on cut-offs for JEE Advanced, All India rank holders, and state toppers. The results are anticipated to be released on April 20.

Approximately 11.23 lakh candidates participated in JEE Mains 2026 Session 2, which took place from April 2 to April 8 across 304 cities in India and 14 cities abroad, according to the official notice.
