RPSC AEN Mains Exam Scheduled for March 22-23

Ajmer, March 15: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is set to conduct the Assistant Engineer Combined Competitive (Main) Examination 2024 on March 22 and 23, 2026. Candidates can check their allotted examination district by logging into the SSO portal.

Admit cards for the exam will be released on March 19 and can be downloaded using the application number and birth date via the link available on the commission’s website. Additionally, candidates can also access the admit card through the recruitment portal link available in the citizen apps on the SSO portal.

The examination will be held in two sessions: the morning session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. It is important to note that the preliminary exam was conducted from September 28 to 30, 2025, with results announced on November 27, 2025, declaring 2,413 candidates successful for the main exam.

Use of Calculators Permitted
According to RPSC Secretary Ramnivas Mehta, candidates will be allowed to use a non-programmable scientific calculator for solving engineering subject papers. As the main exam is descriptive, candidates are permitted to use blue ink transparent ballpoint pens, along with regular gel or ink pens. They may also bring pencils, erasers, and rulers as needed.

1036 Positions to be Filled
The recruitment will fill 1,036 positions for Assistant Engineers. Initially, the commission announced vacancies for 1,014 positions, which later increased to 1,140 after adding 15 more posts for Assistant Engineer (Civil) and 7 additional posts for Assistant Engineer (Electrical).

Entry Guidelines
Candidates will be allowed entry to the examination center only up to 60 minutes before the exam starts. Latecomers will not be permitted to enter the examination center. Therefore, candidates are advised to arrive early to complete security checks and identification verification on time.

It is mandatory to bring a colored print of the Aadhaar card. If the photo on the Aadhaar card is old or unclear, candidates should carry additional identification such as a voter ID, passport, or driving license, all of which must have a clear and recent photo. Do not forget to affix your latest colored photo on the admit card, as entry will not be allowed without a clear identification document.

Stay Informed and Report Any Malpractices
Candidates participating in the examination should not fall prey to brokers, mediators, or criminals. If anyone demands a bribe or offers inducements to help pass the exam, candidates should report this to the investigation agency and the commission’s control room at 0145-2635200, 2635212, and 2635255.

Engaging in unfair means during the exam may lead to severe penalties under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022, including life imprisonment and fines up to 10 crores, along with confiscation of movable and immovable property.
