RPSC Political Science Result Declared: Only 6 Candidates Pass, 219 Vacant Positions

Ajmer, April 2: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced the final results for the Political Science and Commerce lecturer recruitment after eligibility checks and document verification. Only six candidates have been selected for the Political Science positions, leaving 219 vacancies unfilled.

In the Commerce category, 58 positions remain vacant due to candidates failing to secure the minimum required marks of 40%. The commission had previously advertised a total of 2,202 positions across various subjects, including 225 for Political Science, on October 25, 2024.

The Political Science recruitment exam was conducted on July 6, 2025, with 45,674 candidates appearing out of 84,846 registered. Notably, 386 candidates were disqualified for not attempting any questions from the five options provided.

The cut-off results indicated “Candidate Not Available” (N/A) for most categories, except for General, ST General, and Ex-Servicemen categories. Candidates were required to achieve a minimum of 40% marks to qualify, with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories.

In the Commerce subject, the eligibility list was released on November 3, and after document verification, 265 candidates were declared successful in the main list, while 17 were included in the reserved list. This exam was conducted for 340 Commerce positions, but due to the minimum passing criteria, 58 positions remain unfilled.

The RPSC continues to face challenges in filling these teaching vacancies, highlighting the need for candidates to meet the required standards in future examinations.
