Strict Security Measures for Rajasthan SI Exam

Ajmer, April 6: The second day of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam is underway, with strict security protocols in place. The first session began at 11 AM with a General Hindi paper, and candidates were allowed entry to the exam centers starting at 9 AM, with a cut-off time of 10 AM for entry.

At Savitri School in Ajmer, candidates had their threads (kalawa) cut off from their wrists with scissors before entering the examination hall. Many candidates were required to remove metal buttons from their shirts, and full-sleeve shirt wearers had to either cut their sleeves or remove their shirts entirely to gain entry.

At the 72 Sidi School in Sawai Madhopur, students were made to remove their shoes outside the entrance and had to walk barefoot for approximately 200 meters before climbing the 72 stairs to reach the exam center.

In Bharatpur, at Master Adityendra Higher Secondary School, female candidates were asked to remove earrings and rubber bands from their hair. All candidates underwent checks with metal detectors.

The second session, which will cover General Knowledge, is scheduled from 3 PM to 5 PM, with entry starting at 1 PM. A total of 1,174 centers have been established across 41 cities in 26 districts for the exam, with around 385,020 candidates expected to participate today.

The SI recruitment exam of 2021 was cancelled due to cheating and paper leaks, prompting the RPSC to implement stringent security measures this time around.
