
Mumbai, March 21: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the notification for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET). This eligibility exam is for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers for Level 1 (Classes 1 to 5) and Level 2 (Classes 6 to 8). Candidates can apply from March 27 to April 26 on the official website upessc.gov.in.

Educational Qualification:
For Level 1:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized university and have completed or are in the final year of D.El.Ed. Alternatively, candidates with 50% marks in Intermediate and a 4-year integrated B.L.Ed. can also apply.
For Level 2:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 50% marks along with a B.Ed. or B.Ed. in Special Education or a 2-year BTC. Candidates with 50% marks in Intermediate and a 4-year integrated B.L.Ed. or B.Sc.Ed. are also eligible.

Exam Pattern:
The exam will last for 150 minutes, consisting of 150 MCQs from four subjects. There will be no negative marking.

– Mathematics and Environmental Studies
For Paper 2 (Classes 6 to 8):

– 60 questions from the specialized subject (Mathematics/Science/Social Science/Social Studies)
