
Prayagraj, April 6: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially declared the final selection results for the Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) examination 2023. A total of 419 candidates have been provisionally declared successful against the 419 vacancies available.
Anil Pandey topped the examination, followed by Aditya Pratap Singh in second place and Lakshmi Verma in third. Additionally, Shivanshu Sharma from Amethi secured the sixth rank, while Shivam Shukla achieved the tenth rank.
Out of the successful candidates, 338 have been selected for the position of Review Officer, and 81 for Assistant Review Officer. The examination saw participation from 5,930 candidates. The typing test for the Assistant Review Officer position was conducted between February 16 and 19, 2026.
The results are conditional, as stated by UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar. The final recommendation for the successful candidates will be made after the verification of their original certificates, with further information regarding the verification process to be released separately.
The examination process began with 1,076,004 applications, and the preliminary exam had 454,589 candidates in attendance. Initially scheduled for February 11, 2024, the preliminary exam faced a question paper leak, leading to its rescheduling to July 27, 2025. The main examination took place on February 2 and 3, 2026, with 7,509 candidates who passed the preliminary exam participating.
The final results were announced after a span of two and a half years, with the number of available positions increasing from 411 to 419.
Candidates can check their results on the official UPPSC website at https://uppsc.up.nic.in. The scores and category-wise cut-off marks will also be made available soon on the site.
Shivanshu Sharma and Shivam Shukla from Amethi have made it to the top ten in the RO/ARO examination results. Shivanshu, who achieved the sixth rank, began his preparation in 2020 and has previously been selected for positions at the State Bank of India and as a Station Master in the railways. His ambition is to become an IPS officer.
Shivam Shukla, who secured the tenth rank, prepared through coaching in Allahabad. His achievement has brought a festive atmosphere to his village, with many locals congratulating him and wishing him a bright future.
