1. Indian-origin astronaut Anil Menon is set to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) on July 14 as part of NASA’s next mission. This frigate features a modern ‘Combined Diesel or Gas’ (CODOG) propulsion system, enhancing its speed and endurance for long maritime missions. With over 75% indigenous components, INS Mahendragiri exemplifies the government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative.
