India-Cambodia Military Exercise CINBAX-II Commences

Mumbai, May 5: The second edition of the India-Cambodia bilateral military exercise, CINBAX-II, has officially commenced. On May 4, a contingent of the Indian Army departed for Cambodia to participate in this joint training initiative. The exercise will take place from May 4 to May 17 at the Tekno Sen Nom Thom Mirass Prov Royal Cambodian Air Force Training Center, also known as Camp Basil.

The primary aim of this exercise is to enhance coordination and operational capabilities between the two nations. It will focus on counter-terrorism strategies and operational encounters, with 120 personnel from the Indian Army and 160 from the Cambodian forces participating.

According to the Ministry of Defence, this exercise is expected to bolster both countries’ capacities to maintain global peace and security. The training will also include modern military practices and skill development.
