
Mumbai, October 1: Former Indian cricketer Mohit Sharma has been appointed as the new bowling coach for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The announcement was made on September 29, and he will be taking over the role from South African Eric Simmons. Mohit becomes the first member of head coach Zaheer Khan’s support staff.
During his international from 2013 to 2015, Mohit played 26 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 8 T20 Internationals for India. His last ODI was against South Africa on October 25, 2015, in Mumbai. Mohit has previously played four IPL seasons for CSK and announced his retirement from all formats of cricket on December 3, 2025.
This appointment marks a significant step for CSK as they prepare for the upcoming season.
