Jaipur, August 30: The NEET PG-2026 examination at the ION Digital Zone center in Sitapura, Jaipur, witnessed significant disruption as candidates reported multiple technical failures. Students claimed that computers repeatedly shut down, severely affecting the examination process.
During the two-hour exam, interruptions occurred up to ten times, leading to concerns about potential paper leaks. Following the chaos, hundreds of candidates protested, demanding accountability and a fair investigation into the incident.
In light of the disturbances, the examination at this center has been cancelled, and a re-examination is scheduled for September 5.
Many doctors who arrived to take the exam alleged that their requests for officials to address the issues were ignored. Officials confirmed that both examination centers at ION Digital Zone faced allegations of malfunction, with approximately 2,500 candidates registered across both venues.
The exam, originally set to start at 9 AM, was reportedly delayed until around 10 AM. After several computers malfunctioned, only three to four questions appeared on some screens, while others displayed five to six questions before shutting down again. Candidates expressed frustration over the lack of explanation from the center’s staff regarding the technical issues.
Protesting students claimed that when they approached the police to file complaints, they were threatened with legal action if they continued to demonstrate. They expressed doubts about the integrity of the examination process, demanding a thorough investigation into the matter.
This incident follows previous allegations of paper leaks associated with the NEET-UG 2026 examination, which was cancelled on May 3 due to similar concerns. The National Testing Agency (NTA) later conducted a re-examination on June 21, with connections to the leaks traced back to several cities in Rajasthan, including Jaipur.
