Mumbai, July 2: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has finally announced the results for the RRB Group D examination, five months after the tests were conducted. Over one crore candidates had appeared for this examination, and the results, along with zone-wise cutoffs, are now available on the official website rrbcdg.gov.in. Candidates who pass the Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), document verification, and medical examinations.

Region-wise Cutoff Released:
The cutoffs for various categories have been published, with the following scores noted:
– RRB Prayagraj: General – 78.125, SC – 72.40, ST – 66.65, OBC – 77.31, EWS – 74.14
– RRB Chennai: General – 78.00, SC – 70.63, ST – 76.65, OBC – 71.11, EWS – 70
– Ahmedabad: General – 72.16, SC – 66.06, ST – 62.13, OBC – 71.14, EWS – 67.66
– Bhopal: General – 77.73, SC – 73.65, ST – 67.67, OBC – 77.41, EWS – 75.07

As the results were released, many candidates took to social media to express their frustration through memes, highlighting the long wait and the multiple phases of the examination process. Some memes humorously depicted candidates aging or growing beards while waiting for the results.

One user tweeted, “It has been over 150 days since the Railway Group D exam, and we still have no results.” Another added, “We need an official timeline, not just assurances. Millions of candidates are asking—when will the results come? When will the PET and document verification happen?”

Next Steps After the Result:
Following the announcement of the CBT results, shortlisted candidates will be invited for the PET, document verification, and medical examination. To qualify in the written exam, candidates in the General and EWS categories must score at least 40%, while OBC, SC, and ST candidates need a minimum of 30%.

The CBT was conducted from January 8 to February 10, 2026, across various examination centers nationwide, with a total of 32,438 candidates set to be selected through this process.
