Mumbai, September 24: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the recruitment of 32,388 teachers. A new notification has been issued, and candidates can apply through the official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in. The new exam date will be announced later.
Educational Qualifications:
For Classes 1-5:
- Minimum 50% marks in 12th grade
- 2-year D.El.Ed or equivalent degree
- Or 4-year B.El.Ed
- Or Special Education Diploma
- Relevant CTET/BTET Paper-I cleared.
For Classes 6-8:
- Graduation degree in the relevant subject.
- B.Ed/D.El.Ed
- Relevant CTET/BTET/STET degree as per the position.
For Classes 9-10:
- Graduation degree in the relevant subject.
- B.Ed or equivalent qualification.
- STET Paper-I cleared.
For Classes 11-12:
- Post-graduation degree in the relevant subject.
- B.Ed or equivalent qualification
- STET Paper-II cleared.
Age Limit: 18 – 37 years
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹32,000 per month
Selection Process: Based on a written exam.
Reservation:
- Reservation is only for residents of Bihar.
- 50% reservation for women for primary teachers (1-5).
- 35% reservation for middle, secondary, and higher secondary classes.
- To claim reservation, caste, income, and non-creamy layer (NCL) certificates must be in the father’s name and address.
Exam Pattern:
For Classes 1-5 Teachers:
- Total Questions: 150
- Total Marks: 150
- Language: 30 questions/30 marks
- General Studies: 120 questions/120 marks
- Minimum 30% marks required in the language section.
- One-third negative marking will apply.
For Classes 6-8, TGT, and PGT:
- Language: 30 questions/30 marks
- General Knowledge: 40 questions/40 marks
- Relevant Subject: 80 questions/80 marks
- Total: 150 questions/150 marks
- One-third negative marking will apply.
- If candidates do not wish to choose any option, they must fill option E. Not filling this will also lead to negative marking.

- Aadhaar card/ID proof/driving license (valid ID proof)
- 10th mark sheet certificate
- 12th mark sheet certificate
- Graduation mark sheet and degree
- Post-graduation degree certificate (for classes 11-12)
- D.El.Ed/B.Ed other teacher training certificates (as per post)
- CTET (Paper-I, Paper-2) (for classes 1-5, classes 6-8) / Bihar STET (for classes 9-11/11-12). Candidates applying for Bihar STET 2026 can also apply.
- Caste certificate (SC/ST/EBC/BC)
- EWS certificate (valid after April 1, 2026)
- Permanent resident certificate
- PWD/Divyang certificate
- Income certificate
- Passport-sized photo
- Signature

- On the homepage, find the registration link related to TRE 4.0 recruitment.
- Log in and enter your personal details.
- After completing the registration, log in to fill out the form.
- Upload the necessary documents and submit the fee.
- Submit the application.
- Download the confirmation page for your records.
