CBSE 12th Result Declared: Ludhiana Region Achieves 87.92% Pass Rate

Ludhiana, May 14: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for the 12th-grade examinations, with the Ludhiana region securing the 9th position among the 22 regions in the country. This year, 87.92% of students from the Ludhiana region have passed.

Students can view their results live on the CBSE website at cbse.gov.in and can download their results by following a seven-step process. For those without internet access or facing server issues, results can also be obtained via SMS to check subject-wise scores. However, it is important to note that the online scorecard will not be valid; students must collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools.

This year, the CBSE has implemented an on-screen marking system for evaluating answer sheets. The board does not release a merit list, and no toppers have been declared for the 12th grade. School principals have been instructed not to announce school toppers either.

In a notable moment, Bhajan singer Kanhaiya Mittal shared a video on Facebook celebrating his daughter Gauri Mittal’s achievement of scoring 98%. He had promised her a special gift for her excellent performance.

A total of 123,836 students appeared for the 12th-grade examinations in the Ludhiana region, comprising 64,249 boys and 59,587 girls. The pass percentage for boys stands at 85.76%, while girls achieved a higher pass rate of 90.24%, indicating that approximately 5% more girls passed compared to boys. Additionally, 9,977 students from the Ludhiana region received compartment results.

The ST category recorded a pass percentage of 78.76%, while the OBC category achieved 87.30%.

Students can check their results through the following links:

To check results via SMS, students should type “CBSE 12th Result 2026 (Roll Number)” and send it to 7738299899.

To access results through DigiLocker, students need to download the app or visit the website, sign up or log in using their mobile number or Aadhaar, and navigate to the “Education” section to select CBSE.

It is mandatory for students to score at least 33% in each subject to pass the CBSE 12th board examination. Those failing in one subject will have the opportunity to appear for compartment exams, while students failing in two or more subjects will need to reappear for the entire 12th grade.

This year’s overall pass percentage has decreased by 3% compared to last year, which recorded a pass rate of 88.39%. The board will soon announce the schedule for compartment examinations, allowing students to improve their scores without losing an academic year.
