New Delhi, August 6: Taiwan’s leading airline, EVA Air, has announced the launch of direct passenger flights between Taipei and New Delhi, starting December 1, 2026. This initiative marks the first time a Taiwanese airline will operate regular nonstop services to India, enhancing connectivity for travelers.
The partnership with Air India will facilitate easier connecting flights to other major cities in India from Delhi. Previously, travelers heading to Taiwan had to rely on connecting flights, which often extended travel times.
This decision aims to promote trade and tourism between the two nations, particularly in sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and technology. Indian passengers will also benefit from improved connectivity to the United States and Canada via Taipei.
The flights will operate five days a week, significantly reducing travel time and enhancing the travel experience for passengers.
