India-Slovakia University to Enhance AI Education

Mumbai, June 16: India and Slovakia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including education and technology. During a bilateral meeting on June 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of an “India Chair on Artificial Intelligence” at a Slovakian university. This initiative aims to foster collaboration in AI education and technological advancements between the two nations.

The discussions also covered trade, investment, defense, and digital technology, highlighting a commitment to strengthen ties. Slovakia has approved the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement, further solidifying economic relations.

This visit marks the first official trip by an Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia since the country gained independence in 1993. Prime Minister Modi was honored with Slovakia’s highest civilian award, “The Order of the White Double Cross (First Class),” recognizing his efforts to enhance bilateral relations.
