Mumbai, June 26: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the re-NEET UG 2026 examination. Candidates who participated in the exam held on June 21 can check the answer key on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
Candidates will also have the opportunity to raise objections against the provisional answer key. Subject experts will review all objections before the final answer key is published. The final answer key will determine the scores, All India Rank (AIR), and merit list.
Following the release of the final results, counseling will commence. The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling for 15% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while the respective state counseling authorities will manage the process for 85% of state quota seats.
Admission will be granted after document verification, with candidates required to fill in their college preferences. Seat allotment will follow, leading to admission upon successful verification of documents.
Approximately 22 lakh students registered for the NEET UG this year. The NEET-UG exam initially scheduled for May 3, 2026, was cancelled due to allegations of paper leaks and was subsequently held again on June 21, 2026.
