Ajmer, April 18: The Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) examination results for 2024 have been officially declared, with Dinesh Vishnoi from Barmer securing the top position. Dinesh had previously achieved the 57th rank in the last examination and is currently undergoing training with the RPSC.
Virendra Charan from Jaisalmer has claimed the second rank, while Bhupendra Singh from Jodhpur has secured the ninth rank, following in the footsteps of his elder brother, who also became an RAS officer in 2009.
In a notable achievement, 23-year-old Shalu Kaswa from Sri Ganganagar has successfully cleared the RAS exam on her first attempt. Her parents, a farmer and a housewife, celebrated her success with sweets.
The RPSC has released a merit list of 2,391 candidates, following interviews that concluded on April 17. This year, candidates from border districts have performed exceptionally well, with representation from Barmer, Bikaner, and Jaisalmer among the top ranks.
The results indicate that seven candidates from border areas have made it to the top 20, with Jaipur and Jodhpur contributing the highest number of selections.
The commission has noted that 10 candidates’ results are currently on hold, with some cases pending in court. The entire process, from vacancy announcement to final results, took just one year, seven months, and 17 days. The state is set to welcome 1,096 new administrative officers, including 428 from the state service and 668 from the subordinate service.
Celebrations are underway among the successful candidates, with many sharing their joy with friends and family.
