Ajmer, September 13: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced that the Sub-Inspector/Platoon Commander re-examination for 2021 will take place on September 20. This will be the first time that facial recognition and thumb impression technology will be implemented in a recruitment exam by RPSC. The exam will be conducted for 859 positions, and candidates can find information about their allocated exam centers on the SSO portal. Admit cards will be available for download starting September 17 on the RPSC website and the SSO portal.
Approximately 235,000 candidates are expected to participate in this examination. In the previous recruitment cycle, 797,000 candidates had applied, with 383,097 appearing for the exam held from September 13 to 15, 2021. However, the exam was cancelled due to a paper leak. Initially, only candidates who had appeared in the previous exam were allowed to retake the test, but later, all candidates were given the opportunity to participate, resulting in 235,000 agreeing to take the re-exam.
Candidates will only be allowed entry into the exam center up to 60 minutes before the exam starts. It is advised that candidates arrive at least two hours prior to the exam to complete security checks, biometric verification, and identification processes.
A valid photo ID, such as a new color Aadhaar card, is mandatory for entry. If the photo on the Aadhaar card is old or unclear, candidates must bring another government-issued ID with a clear photo, such as a voter ID, passport, or driving license. Additionally, candidates must affix a recent color photograph on their admit card. Entry to the exam center will be denied without a proper photo ID.
The commission has urged candidates not to fall for any scams or offers from brokers or criminals promising to help them pass the exam. Any requests for bribes or other inducements should be reported to the investigation agency or the commission’s control room at the provided contact numbers.
Candidates found using unfair means during the exam may face severe penalties under the Rajasthan Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2022, which includes life imprisonment, fines up to 10 crore rupees, and confiscation of assets.
