Mumbai, August 15: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the recruitment of 3,993 Junior Engineer positions. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website rrbapply.gov.in. The last date for fee submission is set for September 15, 2026.
Educational Qualification:
- Three-year diploma from a recognized board.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering.
- Three-year diploma in Mechanical/Production/Automobile/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation and Control Engineering or its basic sub-streams.
- Candidates with a degree in Computer Engineering are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 33 years
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- OBC Non-Creamy Layer: 3 years relaxation
Salary:
According to Pay Level-06, the monthly salary will be ₹35,400.

Application Fee:
- SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, PWD, Women, Transgender, Minority, and Economically Weaker Sections: ₹250
- All other categories: ₹500
- Candidates who clear Stage-1 will receive a refund of ₹400 from the ₹500 fee.
- Full fee refund for candidates from reserved categories.
Note: There will be negative marking of one-third of the marks for incorrect answers in the railway exam.
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR, EWS: 40%
- OBC, NCL/SC: 30%
- ST: 25%
