Mumbai, October 11: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced significant changes to the examination pattern for two recruitment exams, including the NTPC Graduate Level positions. The notification reveals that the recruitment for Station Master positions will now be conducted separately, with only one online written exam replacing the previous two.
For the Station Master recruitment, candidates will be called for a Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) based on an eightfold ratio of the number of vacancies. Following this, the process will include document verification and a medical test, aimed at simplifying the recruitment process.
The CBAT evaluates candidates’ abilities related to safety-critical roles, assessing skills such as concentration, quick decision-making, and the ability to follow instructions.
In another significant update, the typing test has been removed from the NTPC Graduate Level recruitment process starting from 2026. Candidates are still required to have knowledge of computers and typing. The exam will now be conducted in three phases: the first phase will be a Computer Based Test (CBT-1), followed by CBT-2, and concluding with document verification and medical tests.
The RRB has issued the notification for NTPC Graduate Level recruitment, increasing the number of vacancies from 3,477 to 3,548. The application process is now open for interested candidates.
