Mumbai, June 29: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) is set to conduct the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 from July 2 to 4. This year, the commission has implemented stringent security measures to ensure a cheating-free and transparent examination process.
The exam will utilize biometric verification, digital locks, and a multi-layer security system. A total of 955 exam centers have been established across 60 districts in the state, accommodating approximately 15.99 lakh candidates. Notably, in Prayagraj alone, 53 centers will host 96,626 candidates. The question papers will be color-coded and secured with one-time digital locks, which will only be opened 45 minutes before the exam begins to prevent any possibility of paper leaks.
The examination will be conducted in two shifts:
– Paper 1 (Primary Level – Classes 1 to 5): 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
– Paper 2 (Upper Primary Level – Classes 6 to 8): 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Candidates will undergo biometric verification, including iris scans and live photo captures, before entering the exam centers. Additionally, the selection of teachers for duty in the examination rooms will be randomized 30 minutes prior to the start of the exam to eliminate any irregularities. Admit cards for the exam will be issued on June 30.
This examination is a crucial step for many aspiring teachers in Uttar Pradesh, and the UPESSC is fully prepared to ensure its smooth conduct.
