New Delhi, September 30: The Education World India School Ranking (EWISR) for 2026-27 has been released, showcasing the top schools across the nation. This year, the survey involved discussions with nearly 18,000 individuals, including parents, teachers, scholars, and counselors from 34 cities.
The ranking evaluated 4,500 schools from 22 states based on 15 parameters, including infrastructure and student development. The survey was conducted in collaboration with AZ Research Partner.
Chandigarh’s Government Model Senior Secondary School Tops the List
In the category of state government schools, Chandigarh’s Government Model Senior Secondary School in Sector 16 D has secured the top rank. This school had also achieved the first position in the previous ranking for 2023-24, focusing on ICT, smart learning, and aligning its curriculum with NEP 2020.
Delhi’s Four Government Schools Make the Top 10
Four government schools from Delhi have made it to the top 10 in the EWISR 2026-27 rankings. Notably, the CM Shri Dwarka Sector 10 school has been recognized for its modern infrastructure and innovative teaching methods in accordance with NEP 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework.
The ranking criteria included not only academic performance but also co-curricular activities, sports, infrastructure, teacher competence, leadership, and community engagement.
