Mumbai, October 25: Losing your Aadhaar card can be stressful, but there’s no need to worry. You can download your e-Aadhaar card for free from the comfort of your home using the myAadhaar Portal. This digital version of your Aadhaar card can be easily saved in PDF format without the need to visit an Aadhaar center or seek assistance from an agent.

To download your e-Aadhaar, follow these simple steps:

1. Open the official UIDAI website on your mobile browser and select the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option.
2. Choose one of the available options: Aadhaar Number, Enrolment ID, or Virtual ID, and enter the required information along with the security code displayed on the screen.
3. Select the option to receive an OTP. A one-time password will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP received on your mobile.
4. Once verification is complete, you will receive the option to download the e-Aadhaar PDF. Save it on your phone.

After downloading, some users may face issues when the PDF prompts for a password. The password is created using the first four letters of your name in capital letters followed by your year of birth. For instance, if your name is RAHUL KUMAR and your birth year is 1998, your password will be RAHU1998.
