Mumbai, June 27: FIFA has suspended the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) effective immediately, preventing Nepal’s national teams from participating in any international competitions. The suspension arises from external interference in the governance of ANFA, which violates FIFA’s regulations that mandate national football associations to operate free from political or external influence. This suspension will remain in effect until ANFA ensures its autonomy and compliance with FIFA’s rules. Consequently, FIFA’s financial support for football activities in Nepal has also been halted, leaving the Nepal football team without access to training or funding from FIFA or the Asian Football Confederation.
