NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Advisory Released

Mumbai, June 20: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for the NEET UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, 2026. To prevent any disruptions and ensure security at examination centers, NTA has directed all centers to conduct a mock drill on June 20.

Additionally, a dress code and essential rules for students have been released. Students can reach out to NTA’s helpline at 011-40759000 or email [email protected] for any exam-related queries.

Extra Time Granted for Candidates

The duration of the Re-NEET 2026 exam has been extended by 15 minutes. This change aims to provide candidates with additional time to read instructions, affix photographs, or sign documents, thereby minimizing delays.

Documents Required at Exam Center:

  • Re-NEET Admit Card
  • Passport-sized Photograph
  • Valid Photo ID
  • PwD/PwBD Certificate (if applicable)

Biometric Verification at Exam Centers

On the exam day, after completing security checks, all candidates must undergo biometric verification, which includes fingerprint and facial recognition, before entering the examination room. If a candidate’s biometric verification fails due to technical issues, they will still be allowed to take the exam by filling out a written undertaking at the center.

Exam Cancelled Due to Paper Leak

The NEET-UG exam originally scheduled for May 3, 2026, was cancelled on May 12 due to allegations of a paper leak. The CBI is currently investigating the matter, and the re-examination will take place on June 21, 2026.

The NEET UG 2026 exam will be held from 2 PM to 5:15 PM, with entry checks starting at 11 AM. Candidates are advised to arrive at the exam center early, as entry will not be permitted after 1:30 PM. Over 500,000 security personnel, more than 6,000 supervisors, and 674 city coordinators will oversee the examination process.

Under the Public Examination Act 2024, provisions for up to 10 years of imprisonment and fines of up to 1 crore rupees exist for cases of paper leaks and cheating.
