
Mumbai, September 17: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam calendar for the 2026-27 academic year. The schedule includes important dates for various examinations such as UGC NET, JEE Mains Session 1, NIFT, Sainik School, and CUET, covering the period from December 2026 to March 2027.
The UGC NET exam is proposed to be conducted from December 14 to 19, 2026, with buffer dates set for December 20 and 21. The Joint CSIR-UGC NET will take place on these buffer dates. This exam determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor positions, and has been conducted by NTA since December 2018.
The JEE Mains Session 1 is scheduled to start on January 22, 2027, with additional dates on January 24, 28, and 30. This exam is crucial for admission into undergraduate engineering programs at IITs and serves as the eligibility test for JEE Advanced.
Additionally, the schedule for Sainik School examinations has been released, with the National Military Schools exam set for December 13, 2026, and the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam on January 31, 2027. The NIFT entrance exam is proposed for January 10, 2027, along with the SHRESHTA (NETS) exam on the same day.
It is important to note that all dates mentioned in the calendar are tentative, and the NTA has indicated that changes may occur in the detailed information bulletin.
