Lucknow, September 9: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has announced the recruitment of 1,936 Assistant Professor positions in degree colleges across the state. To facilitate applicants, a One Time Registration (OTR) process has been implemented, which must be completed before applying. Interested candidates can apply through the official website upessc.up.gov.in.
Corrections in the application can be made until October 11, 2026. The written examination for the Assistant Professor positions is scheduled for November 19 and 20, 2026.
Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks and passing the NET/SLET/SET exam, or
- A PhD degree.
- Reserved and disabled candidates will receive a 5% relaxation in minimum marks.
Age Limit:
- Maximum: 62 years
- Age will be calculated as of July 1, 2026.
- Relaxation in maximum age will be provided for reserved categories.
Application Fees:
- General, OBC, EWS: ₹2000
- SC, ST: ₹1500
- PWD: ₹1000
Salary:
- According to Pay Matrix Level – 10, the salary ranges from ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400 per month.
- Other allowances will also be provided.
