Ajmer, July 12: The Rajasthan Senior Teacher Recruitment Exam commenced today, with over 12 lakh candidates registered to participate. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has set up 1,221 exam centers across 27 districts for this significant recruitment drive, which aims to fill a total of 9,651 positions.
The exam is being conducted in two shifts today. The first shift, focusing on General Knowledge (GK), runs from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by the second shift later in the day.
In a notable incident, a metal detector arrived late at an exam center in Sawai Madhopur, allowing candidates to enter without prior security checks. Candidates were permitted entry only until one hour before the exam commenced.
The recruitment exam is one of the major assessments scheduled for this year, with the least number of posts available in Gujarati and the highest in Mathematics. The exams will be conducted in four groups from July 12 to July 18, 2026.
