RPSC SI Re-Exam 2021: Application Update for All Candidates

Ajmer, July 8: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced that all candidates can apply for the re-examination of the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment 2021, scheduled for September 20, 2026. Starting today, candidates wishing to participate in the exam must update their application forms, with the last date set for July 22. Candidates who have already updated their applications do not need to make any further changes.

Approximately 797,000 candidates had applied for this recruitment exam, with 383,097 candidates participating in the previous exam. After the exam was cancelled, it was decided to conduct a re-exam, allowing only those who had appeared in the first exam to participate. Among the 383,000 candidates eligible for the re-exam, only 153,000 expressed interest in updating their application forms, while 230,000 opted out.

Required Updates for Candidates
Candidates must complete the KYC process in their One Time Registration (OTR) before updating their applications. This includes uploading a live photo, thumbprint, and signature. After making the necessary updates, candidates must verify their application using an OTP sent to their registered mobile number. Applications will not be accepted if this process is not completed.

Candidates can log in using their SSO ID and update their applications in the ‘My Recruitment’ section. Those whose OTR has migrated to the new SSO ID can use the ‘Fetch Application Form’ option. If there are technical issues during the transfer, candidates can file a complaint on the commission’s grievance portal until July 15.

The exam syllabus will remain as per the press note issued on May 22, 2026. Only mobile numbers, email IDs, correspondence addresses, live photos, thumbprints, and signatures can be changed in the application. No changes will be allowed in fundamental information such as age, educational qualifications, and reservation status.

This decision follows an interim order from the Jaipur bench of the Rajasthan High Court on July 2, 2026. The commission has provisionally allowed all candidates from the 2021 recruitment to participate in the re-exam. However, it is mandatory to finalize the application by agreeing to the use of the photo, signature, and thumbprint used in the OTR, along with OTP verification. Applications will not be accepted if this step is not completed.
