RPSC SI Recruitment 2021: Last Date for Application Form Updates Approaches

Ajmer, July 23: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced that the last date for candidates to update their application forms for the re-examination of the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment 2021 is today, July 22, until midnight. This re-exam is scheduled for September 20, 2026.

A total of 797,000 candidates had applied for this recruitment, with 383,097 participating in the previous exam, which was later cancelled. The commission decided to allow only those who had appeared in the first exam to reapply.

Candidates who wish to participate in the re-exam have been given the opportunity to correct and update their application forms. However, only 153,000 candidates have shown interest in making these updates, while 230,000 have opted out.

To update their applications, candidates must complete the KYC process in their One Time Registration (OTR), which includes uploading a live photo, thumbprint, and signature. They must also verify their applications using an OTP sent to their registered mobile number. Failure to complete this process will result in the application not being accepted.

Candidates can log in using their SSO ID and navigate to the My Recruitment section to update their applications. Those whose OTR has been migrated to the new SSO ID can use the fetch application form option. In case of technical issues during the transfer, candidates can file a complaint on the grievance portal.

The syllabus for the exam will remain as per the press note issued on May 22, 2026. Candidates can only change their mobile number, email ID, correspondence address, live photo, thumbprint, and signature in the application. No changes will be allowed in fundamental details such as age, educational qualifications, or reservation status.

This decision follows an interim order from the Jaipur bench of the Rajasthan High Court on July 2, 2026. The commission has provisionally allowed all candidates from the 2021 recruitment to participate in the re-exam. However, it is mandatory to submit the application with OTP verification and consent for the use of the uploaded photo, signature, and thumbprint. Applications not adhering to this requirement will be rejected.

In related news, significant arrests have been made in connection with the SI recruitment paper leak case, including former RPSC member Ramuram Raika and his children. Raika, who was appointed as an RPSC member during the previous BJP government, remains in custody.

Additionally, Rajkumar Yadav, the personal security officer of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, was also arrested for purchasing and selling exam papers.
