Mumbai, October 3: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the exam dates for three major recruitment examinations, including the Junior Engineer (JE) exam, Delhi Police, and Sub-Inspector exam for Central Armed Police Forces, along with the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) examination (CHSL). Candidates can check the exam schedule on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.
The IBPS PO/MT-XVI mains exam is scheduled for October 4, 2026, starting at 1 PM. The SSC CGL Tier-1 exam will take place in multiple shifts from September 30 to October 30, 2026, with shifts at 9 AM, 11:45 AM, 2:30 PM, and 5:15 PM.
Candidates taking the SSC CGL exam during the afternoon shift from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM and the evening shift from 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM will face a clash with the IBPS exam.
Additionally, the RRB Section Controller exam is set for October 12 and 13, 2026, with details already released. The RRB has also announced the CBT-1 exam for Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant positions on October 27 and 28, 2026, which coincides with the SSC CGL Tier-1 exam.
Moreover, candidates may experience a scheduling conflict with the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 72nd Combined Competitive Preliminary Exam on October 4, 2026, if their SSC CGL exam is in the morning shift from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM.
Due to the distance between exam centers and the reporting rules, candidates may be forced to choose between exams. The DSSSB ASO exam will occur between September 21 and October 24, while the MPESB Group-2/Sub-Group-4 exam is scheduled from September 23 to October 5, both of which also clash with the SSC exam dates.
These dates are currently proposed and may be subject to change, so candidates are advised to stay updated with further notices from the SSC. The SSC plays a crucial role in recruiting staff for various ministries and departments of the Government of India, providing millions of candidates with opportunities for government jobs.
