Mumbai, August 4: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has officially released the new syllabus for the TGT and PGT recruitment exams on its website. This time, several significant changes have been made to the exam pattern. The commission will soon announce the syllabus for General Knowledge, allowing candidates to prepare according to the new system.
Negative Marking Introduced for the First Time
One of the most notable changes this year is the introduction of negative marking for both recruitment exams. Previously, the TGT and PGT exams consisted of 125 subject-related questions, each carrying four marks.
General Knowledge Syllabus to be Released After Meeting
Currently, only the subject-wise syllabus has been released. The General Knowledge syllabus will be issued separately after a meeting of the commission. Additionally, clarifications have been sought from the Secondary Education Department regarding similar degrees across different subjects.
Changes in Sanskrit Subject
While most subjects have not undergone major changes, some amendments have been made to the Sanskrit syllabus. According to candidates, new sections related to Vedic literature have been added to the PGT Sanskrit syllabus. In contrast, the TGT Sanskrit syllabus has replaced Meghadutam and Niti Shatak with Hitopadesha, the second canto of Raghuvansh Mahakavya, and the first chapter of Sahitya Darpan.
Demand for Recruitment of Over One Lakh Posts
Competitive students have submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding new primary teacher recruitment. They claim that they have been waiting for a long time for new recruitment. Representatives associated with the Employment Rights Campaign have also raised the demand for the immediate initiation of recruitment processes for over one lakh vacant positions in various government departments.
