
New Delhi, May 12: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the commencement of applications for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for September 2026. This exam will be conducted across 132 cities in India in 27 languages.
Candidates can apply through the official website ctet.nic.in. The exam is scheduled for September 6, 2026, and the last date for fee submission is June 10, 2026.
Changes in Exam City Allotment: This time, candidates will not have the option to choose their exam city. The allotment will be done on a random basis, and requests for changes will not be entertained.
Educational Qualification:
- Paper – 1: For Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level Teacher) – 12th pass with D.El.Ed/BTC/JBT/B.El.Ed or equivalent diploma.
- Paper – 2: For Classes 6 to 8 (Primary Level Teacher) – Graduation with B.Ed, D.El.Ed/B.Ed Special Education or equivalent.
Age Limit: No maximum age limit.
Salary:
- PRT: ₹35,000 – ₹55,000 per month
- TGT: ₹45,000 – ₹70,000 per month
- PGT: ₹60,000 – ₹90,000 per month, along with additional allowances.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected through a written exam, document verification, and a medical test.
Application Fee:
- General/OBC: ₹1000 for Paper 1, ₹1200 for both papers
- SC/ST/PWD: ₹500 for Paper 1, ₹600 for both papers
Exam Pattern:
- Paper – 1: 150 questions, 150 marks, duration of 2.5 hours, no negative marking.
2. Bihar Havildar Instructor Recruitment: The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has opened applications for 122 Havildar Instructor positions. Candidates can apply through the official website.
Educational Qualification: 12th pass from a recognized board.
Physical Standards:
- General, BC: Height 165 cm, Chest 81 cm (unexpanded), 86 cm (expanded)
- OBC/SC/ST: Height 160 cm, Chest 79 cm (unexpanded), 84 cm (expanded); Women: Minimum height 155 cm, minimum weight 48 kg.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, maximum 50 years, with age relaxation as per Bihar government rules.
Application Fee: ₹100 for all categories.
Salary: As per Level – 4.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected through a written exam and physical efficiency test.
Exam Pattern: Objective type, 100 questions, total 100 marks, duration 2 hours.
3. NMDC Apprenticeship Recruitment: The National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced openings for 180 apprenticeship positions. Selection will be based on interviews, with no exam required.
